AMS has been retained by a very well established community bank in the Greater Boston Area in its search for a Mortgage Originator to serve their local communities and contiguous markets. We are targeting talented mortgage professionals with a proven ability to generate new business consisting of conventional mortgages, construction mortgages, jumbo mortgages and Mass. Housing Programs.
This role will have significant impact on the future growth and vision of the bank and will be a key member of the team.
In this on-going, self-sourced sales role, the Mortgage Originator will continually identify, develop and maintain a quality network of business relationships that serve as a recurring source of referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities. The Mortgage Originator will seek to develop and foster business relationships with realtors, home builders, land developers, real estate attorneys, accountants, financial consultants, real estate appraisers, etc.
KEYS
- Knowledge of the local residential real estate market is desired along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of loan origination systems, preferably Calyx Software along with understanding of Desktop Underwriter is desired.
The Bank originates to secondary loan criteria and is also a portfolio lender. Familiarity with FNMA, FHLB and MHFA programs and general underwriting guidelines is expected.
